Otopharynx sp. 'heterodon ikombe' Matema
Genus: Otopharynx
Biotope: Intermediate habitat at the extreme northern end of Lake Malawi.
Geographic distribution: Near Ikombe, northern Lake Malawi.
Sexual dimorphism: Males exhibit three small blotches on the body.
Special notes: Only a single male has been observed. The nearest known population of Otopharynx heterodon, at Lumbila, shows large blotches; due to this difference the Ikombe form is treated separately as Otopharynx sp. ‘heterodon ikombe’.
