Genus: Placidochromis
Geographic distribution: Chirombo area in the southern part of Lake Malawi.
Biotope: Deep-water habitat; specific depth range not precisely documented.
Special notes: Member of the Placidochromis hennydaviesae complex. Very little field information is available and only a limited number of individuals have been recorded. Likely a deep-water barred species related to other members of the complex.
