Genus: Sciaenochromis
Biotope: Deep-water habitats.
Typical adult size: Reported to reach about 17 cm total length.
Special notes: A deep-water species reported from the literature and similar in overall shape to Sciaenochromis sp. ‘elongate’ and Sciaenochromis sp. ‘deep water’, but larger than the latter. It is one of several undescribed deep-water members of the genus mentioned by Snoeks & Hanssens (2004).
