Genus: Sciaenochromis
Biotope: Deep-water habitats.
Special notes: Known only from a few specimens collected in deep water. It was previously confused with Mylochromis spilostichus but can be distinguished by a very shallow preorbital depth, with the eye positioned very close to the upper lip. Virtually nothing else is documented about this form.
