Genus: Sciaenochromis
Biotope: Deep-water habitats.
Geographic distribution: Photographed at Monkey Bay from a deep-water trawl catch.
Special notes: An undescribed deep-water form referred to as “torpedo head”. It was documented from a deep-water trawl specimen and represents one of several deep-water Sciaenochromis forms mentioned in the literature.
