Labidochromis sp. 'chisumulae mbweca' Tumbi Point
Genus: Labidochromis
Biotope: Deep, sediment-rich rocky environment.
Typical adult size: Up to 8 cm (males) / up to 6 cm (females).
Recommended aquarium size: 200 L
Aquarium setup: Provide a large amount of rockwork arranged to create numerous caves and passages. The bottom of the aquarium should be covered with fine sand.
Diet: Carnivorous. In nature feeds primarily on small crustaceans, insects, and their larvae. The long, pointed teeth allow prey to be pulled from narrow rock crevices.
Aggression: Peaceful both within the species and toward other species. Multiple males can be kept together if each is provided with its own cave.
Special notes: Very similar to Labidochromis chisumulae 'Chizumulu', differing only by the absence of a black stripe along the lower edge of the dorsal fin. Females of both forms are identical.
