10 cm standard length.
Special notes:
Placidochromis fuscus is included in group 5 of the deep-living Placidochromis
assemblage, a set defined by species possessing 11–13 gill rakers. The deep-water
Placidochromis represent a distinct assemblage inhabiting and breeding in dimly lit depths
beyond accessible shallow waters.
