The mouth of Nkhata stream in the south bay of Nkhata Bay.
Nkhata Bay. An easterly wind is blowing from across the lake into the south bay, raising chop and splashing water high into the air and over the sandbag-reinforced "sea wall" of the Fisheries Research Station.
This unprepossessing building is significant in the history of ecology - it is the fishery station at Nkhata Bay.
