Genus: Labidochromis
Biotope: Purely rocky environments of the reef.
Geographic distribution: Lake Malawi; recorded from Pombo Rocks.
Typical adult size: Up to 9 cm.
Recommended aquarium size: Minimum aquarium length 110 cm, or at least 250 L.
Diet: Feeding behavior similar to insectivorous species; analyses of gigas-like Labidochromis indicate algae as the predominant item in the gut.
Special notes: Gigas-like Labidochromis closely related to other large blue forms. Females are overall brown without black markings, with brown fins. Occurs at a geographically isolated reef location.
