Genus: Sciaenochromis
Biotope: Deep-water habitats.
Typical adult size: Reported to reach about 17 cm total length.
Special notes: Characterized by a short but powerful mouth and a deeper body compared to other members of the genus. It is regarded as probably piscivorous. The species is reported from deep-water environments and is one of several undescribed Sciaenochromis forms mentioned in the literature.
