Genus: Mylochromis
Biotope: Intermediate habitat.
Geographic distribution: Lake Malawi; recorded from Gallireya Reef.
Diet: Feeds from the sandy substrate between rocks.
Breeding: Breeding males construct cave-crater bowers.
Special notes: Characterized by a very narrow diagonal band on the flanks that is never continuous. Breeding males have a black breast and black pelvic fins.
