Genus: Mylochromis
Biotope: Sandy habitat.
Geographic distribution: Collected near the Maleri Islands and in Domira Bay.
Typical adult size: Maximum total length recorded: 18 cm.
Special notes: This undescribed species was collected at depths of 25–45 m and was named Mylochromis sp. ‘deep’ by Turner (1996). Members of Mylochromis are characterized by a diagonal stripe on the flanks, which in some species is expressed as a row of spots.
