Genus: Lethrinops
Biotope: Sand-dwelling habitat at approximately 20 m depth.
Geographic distribution: Known only from a single preserved sample, apparently collected at Ulande.
Typical adult size: Up to 10 cm total length.
Special notes: An undescribed species known from a single sample. Diagnosis includes an elongate body, a relatively large head and mouth, 11 gill rakers, and seven vertical bars, distinguishing it from L. ‘macrostoma’ and similar taxa (Turner, 1996).
