Genus: Placidochromis
Geographic distribution: Southern Lake Malawi; recorded from Chirombo and adjacent offshore areas.
Biotope: Deep-water habitat; specific depth range not precisely documented.
Special notes: Member of the Placidochromis hennydaviesae complex of vertically barred deep-water species. Very few individuals have been documented, and ecological and behavioral information remains limited.
